Sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, + newly constructed Outdoor Shower with hot & cold water. Cats & Dogs allowed. Off Street Parking for 3 Cars. Located on the quiet north end of Tybee Island where the lighthouse is located... and only 15 minutes to historic and lovely Savannah, GA.
We love our newly renovated Pet friendly bright and cheerful Tybee Cottage. It is located in easy walking or biking distance to many restaurants, darling shops like www.Seasidesisters.com , the Tybee Lighthouse, Museum and the Historic Tybee Guard House... which is ideal for weddings! We enjoy Walking, Biking, or tooling about in an electric rental golf cart to get around on the Island for a Key West kind of experience. The cottage is filled with light and many comfortable spots to Read, Relax, Dream, Bird Watch & just slow down to Tybee Tyme! Partial Marsh views from the new sunroom perfect for bird watching, reading in the romantic Chaise lounge,napping on the pillow filled Day Bed, or enjoying drinks and dinner on the porch or in the dining area off the kitchen. Fenced back yard with rear entry from the sunroom deck...the Outdoor shower is also off the sunroom in the back so that it is convenient for you and your pet to enjoy the fun of showering outdoors on an enclosed private deck. Walk over and buy some fresh local seafood at Bowies Seafood and prepare it in the completely outfitted kitchen and enjoy dining in. Our handy laundry area with washer & dryer is ready if needed as is our fun outdoor retractable clothesline for drying those beach towels and wet clothes from your marsh kayaking adventure.We love John at www.Georgiaseakayaks.com he is our favorite guide but they are all excellent and have that local knowledge that is so important when kayaking in unfamilar areas. We invite you to Park that car and enjoy a true island vacation...once you are on Tybee Tyme and rested you may want to enjoy the sights and sounds of Savannah...all only 15 minutes away...it you can force yourself to go back over the bridge as the locals say...it is hard to leave relaxing Tybee Island.
We are not able to be in Tybee as much as we would like so we have decided to share our Cottage by renting it though our friends at Mermaid Cottages.
